What a NOC is and what it does.

A network operations center, or NOC (pronounced 'knock'), is a location where computer technicians perform remote monitoring, management (RMM) software, and maintenance on systems.

NOC teams provide services that keep your systems in tip-top operating condition. ITDefenses would be considered a managed service provider (MSP) that helps to keep your systems in great shape.

The NOC and MSP people keep in constant communications. When onsite service is required ITDefenses comes on site very quickly to handle any issues that our NOC team cannot handle remotely. This may include memory, hard drive, system board and NIC card replacements.

Our response time is very quick and when you use our top-of-the-line full boat services option you can get support within one minute. Our base Maintenance and Monitoring package starts at $15.00 and our full service options starts at $39.00. Visit https://itdefenses.com/pc-managed-services.html

Super Micro Drops China-Made Components

Super Micro has been making amazing system boards and systems for many years. The recent reports about Super Micro system boards having a backdoor has put a real crunch on sales and is forcing them to change.

According to a report by the Nikkei Asian Review, Super Micro has told its suppliers to move production out of China, after its U.S.-based customers started becoming concerned about Chinese espionage.

Bloomberg reported in December that Super Micro chips came with Chinese backdoors and that that was the reason Apple ended its contract with Super Micro.

Super Micro is the number three manufacturer of servers, following HP and Dell, with 60% of its sales coming from U.S. customers.
